Welcome to my journey of (re)discovery following the loss of Sarah, my wife and best friend of 18 years to cancer in 2021.
I started this blog in May 2022, eight months after Sarah's death and shortly before embarking on the next stage of my life without Sarah.  I'm travelling across five European countries and in the process will cover thousands of miles in my Mazda MX-5 aka Vikki.  The blog will document the places I've visited on my travels and give people an opportunity to contribute.  Most of the photo's on the site are my photos and I'm happy for people to reuse them if they give me credit if they are published elsewhere.

I'm also planning to add recommendations for things to do and places to visit based on the trips that Sarah & I did together and also my new discoveries in 2022 and beyond. 

The blog will be very raw and at times may be very difficult to read particularly for our friends and families who are the main audience for whom the site has been created. It's not my intention to cause you distress and I am sorry for any pain I may cause.

I've never created a website from scratch before, so please accept my apologies in advance for grammatical or spelling mistakes and mistakes in the layout of the site.  It's still a work in progress!!
